Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

ShareLife

Living the Gospel…

ShareLife is more than an annual appeal – it is the way that we bring the hands of Christ to those in need! One of the core directions of our Pastoral Plan is Catholic Outreach in Justice and Love, and our support for ShareLife helps to bring this to life, not only in our archdiocese, but also around the world.

Each year, thousands of people turn to a ShareLife agency for help. Our agencies provide service in an environment that is infused with Catholic values, bringing the Gospel message to the marginalized.

When we support ShareLife, we are making more than a financial contribution – we are demonstrating that the Catholic community is actively making a difference in the social service network in our archdiocese!

Thank you for your support of ShareLife!

“Young Neighbours in Action”

Opportunity for Summer Service  for High School Youth!

High School Students all over the United States and Canada are gearing up to be involved in Young Neighbours in Action in different locations across the continent. YNIA is a weeklong service program for students who are in grades 9-12. St. Patrick’s will be hosting YNIA July 23 – July 29

We invite High School Students from the parish to be part of the St. Patrick’s Team for the week. If you are interested in being a part of the St. Pat’s group participating in the program, please refer to the website or contact Fr. Santo at the parish office by March 1st. Asha Deep Fundraising for 2016

A Tremendous THANK YOU!

This past year, through the Oktoberfest and Giving Tree fundraisers, St. Patrick’s parishioners once more showed their incredible generosity and concern for the poor and disabled by contributing $12,805 towards projects for the school and orphanage at Ashadeep and the orphanage for the disabled Premdham.  Since 2009, St. Patrick’s has raised money to buy milk cows, knitting machines, computers, equipment for science labs, solar water heaters, a school bus, an auto rickshaw and chickens to start a poultry farm. The Justice and Service Committee deeply appreciate the generosity and willingness of parishioners to give this ongoing support.   The money this year will be used to continue to develop the poultry farm at Asadeep to provide eggs for the children, and cots, bedding and play equipment at Premdham.

In November a group of parishioners visited Bijnor Diocese, at their own expense. They were able to see first hand the tremendous growth and development of Ashadeep and Premdham, since their last visit, four years ago, and were impressed.

As in past years, the total amount of the money collected will be given directly to Asha Deep and Premdham. Bishop John, along with the priests and nuns working at Ashadeep and Premdham, continue to emphasize their gratitude and appreciation for the faithful commitment of the people of St. Patrick’s and to pray for us daily.

THANK YOU to all who contributed in any way,

you are helping to give children new life!
